Michael Fracasso CD release at Strange Brew. Like the surfeit of singer-songwriters who have kicked around Austin for a couple of decades with varying degrees of success, Fracasso often seems forgotten, taken for granted. And then you hear the title track to his new album “Here Come the Savages” and wonder how that could ever be. Piano-and-vocal only, his voice soaring high and beautiful as his lyrics dive dark and painful, it’s a masterfully personal work. So is the whole record, which smartly supplements a majority of originals with gems from the likes of Brian Wilson, Ray Davies and Johnny Thunders that further tell the story of Fracasso’s own unique musical gift. $10-$15. 9 p.m. 5326 Manchaca Road. strangebrewloungeside.com.
