Lazy Lester plays night two of a four-night stand at Antone’s. Photo by Ursula Coyote

Lazy Lester, W.C. Clark at Antone’s. The greatest value of the revived downtown Antone’s has been a concerted effort to bring the still-living legends of American blues music back to Austin on a regular basis. Thus we get Lazy Lester, whose roots go back to 1950s Louisiana where he recorded sides for the Excello label. It wasn’t until much later that his music became more broadly documented and disseminated, thanks in part to labels such as Austin’s own Antone’s, an offshoot of the nightclub. At 82, Lester remains vital enough to warrant a four-night stand at the blues mecca; on this second night, he’s joined by W.C. Clark, a cornerstone of Austin blues since the 1960s. $12-$15. 10 p.m. 305 E. Fifth St. antonesnightclub.com. — P.B.
