Darth Vader is shown in a scene from Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back.”

It’s been nearly 40 years since we first saw the original “Star Wars” — but, especially after the most recent film last year, the Force is strong with us. The Alamo Drafthouse is celebrating our love for the original trilogy with screenings of “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.”

Audiences are encouraged to dress in their finest Jedi robes or Galactic Empire uniforms; an emcee will host costume contests and trivia games.

Details: 2 p.m. Saturday. $32-$64. The Long Center, 701 W. Riverside Drive. drafthouse.com/event/star-wars.
