Mapjam at various East Austin locations. KUTX’s daylong celebration returns for an adventurous journey through diverse genres in unconventional spaces. Unlike past years when the action was confined to East Austin, this year’s party kicks off in the idyllic lakeside setting of the Mexican American Cultural Center. Sets from Pan-American singer-songwriter Leticia Rodriguez and Latino supergroup Clandestino All-Stars start at 1 p.m. The event moves to the French Legation lawn at 3 p.m. for the Americana pop of Ruby Jane and Walter Lukens before heading over to Pan Am Park for marimba from Rattletree and avant jazz/funk from Golden Dawn Arkestra at 5 p.m. The party closes with a throwdown at the Scoot Inn featuring hip-hop sets from Phranchyze and Sip Sip starting at 7 p.m., followed by a sweat-it-out dance party helmed by Peligrosa at 10. Free. Full details at kutx.org.
