Dinner Lab, the company that hosts restaurant pop-ups in cities across the country, has teamed up with Phaidon Press for a dinner-series book tour with "The Nordic Cookbook" author Magnus Nilsson that will come through Austin later this month.

Nilsson’s book is one of a slew about Scandinavia and the general Nordic quadrant to come out this year. On Nov. 18, he’ll be on hand for a dinner in Austin at an undisclosed location. The five-course dinner will be prepared by fellow Nordic chefs cooking in the United States right now — at the Austin stop, that’s Icelandic chef Gísli Matthías Audunsson. Nilsson, who is the head chef of Fa®viken Magasinet restaurant in Sweden, will be on hand to talk about the history and diversity of the region’s cuisine.
