Van Halen and Kenny Wayne Shepherd at Austin360 Amphitheater. Celebrating 40 years of hard touring the glam metal titans are back with almost the full original lineup. Brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen hold down their duties on guitar and drums with Eddie’s son Wolfgang filling in on bass. Despite public animosity, flamboyant frontman Diamond David Lee Roth is back on vocals. Reviews from the tour award high marks to Eddie Van Halen’s guitar heroics, while largely panning Roth. Blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd brings a deeper level of six-string soulfulness to the bill, as well as direct Austin connections with drummer Chris Layton and keyboardist Riley Osbourn playing in his band. $35-$149.50. 7:30 p.m. 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd. austin360amphitheater.com. — D.S.S. & P.B.
