Memorial Day Cookout with Crooks, Anthony Ray Wright at ABGB. Recent unstable weather patterns aside, it’s hard to imagine a more suitable place for a Memorial Day hang than ABGB, which offers live music and good pizza in its spacious brewery room plus a rambling beer garden for cooking out bratwurst and pulled pork sandwiches, taking part in a cornhole tournament or just soaking up summer in the sun and shade. The performers lean toward the country side, with Austin honky-tonkers Crooks (who have an album coming in July) joined by West Texas bluegrass/old-timey purveyor Anthony Ray Wright. Free. 4 p.m. 1305 W. Oltorf St. theabgb.com.
