Actor (and part-time Austinite) Matthew McConaughey has been on our screens – and in our hearts – for years now.
Now, apparently, it’s his older brother’s turn in the spotlight.
Meet 61-year-old Mike “Rooster” McConaughey, owner of DGM Supply, an oil pipe machine shop, and star of the new CNBC show “West Texas Investors Club.”
The show, a “Shark Tank” knockoff, made its debut Tuesday night.
Each week, inventors pitch their creations to Rooster and two other investors. SpeedETab, a Florida startup, was featured on the inaugural episode. The app can be used at restaurants to order and pay for food.
“Our investment strategy is to buy a guy a drink of beer,” Rooster says in a CNBC promotional video. “I’ve made so many good decisions drinking beer.”
“West Texas Investors Club” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CNBC, with reruns sprinkled throughout the week.]]
