Radio station KUTX is gearing up for its annual MapJam, a free traveling festival on the east side that’s set for Saturday, Feb. 21.

This year’s event starts at the Mexican American Cultural Center, 600 River St., with performances by Leticia Rodriguez (1 p.m.) and the Clandestino All Stars (2 p.m.). Next stop is the French Legation Museum, 602 San Marcos St., for Ruby Jane (3 p.m.) and Walker Lukens & the Side Arms (4 p.m.). Pan Am Park, 2100 E. Third St., will host Joel Laviolette & Rattle Tree (5 p.m.) and the Golden Dawn Arkestra (6 p.m.). The event concludes at the Scoot Inn, 1308 E. Fourth St., with Phranchyze (8 p.m.), Sip Sip (9 p.m.) and Peligrosa (10 p.m.)

Fans of the Lone Star Jam on the LBJ Library Lawn have to wait until May 2-3 for their big weekend, but organizers announced much of the lineup Friday, with four headliners still to be revealed.

Performers will include Wade Bowen, Jack Ingram, Cory Morrow, Whiskey Myers, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Charlie Robison, William Clark Green, JB & the Moonshine Band, Curtis Grimes, Mike Ryan, Shane Smith & the Saints, Sam Riggs, Thieving Birds, the Crooks, Midnight River Choir and the Cody Bryan Band.

Two-day passes to the eighth annual event are $70 in advance and go on sale Feb. 6. Visit for ticket details.
