After launching a traveling consumer show last year, “Gluten Free & More” magazine is returning to Austin for its second annual Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest, Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Austin Convention Center.
The event will bring together speakers, authors, bloggers and food companies that specialize in gluten-free living, including Kristine Kidd, the former food editor of Bon Appetit; Laura B. Russell, author of “Brassicas,” one of my favorite single-subject cookbooks of 2014; and Erin Smith, founder of a website about traveling internationally called Gluten-Free Globetrotter. Austin participants include Bona Dea Bread and “The Everyday Art of Gluten-Free” author Karen Morgan.
Austin is the first of seven cities hosting the event this year. A single-day ticket costs $15, with two-day passes priced at $25. Each day’s events run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can see the schedule, buy tickets and find out more at GFFAFest.com.
