Two of Austin’s best-known musicians have booked high-profile shows at ACL Live early next year. Local guitar hero Gary Clark Jr. played to thousands in Zilker Park on both weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival earlier this month, and he’ll be back on a hometown stage for a March 5 show. Tickets, $35, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via the venue’s website.

Tickets also go on sale Friday to ACL Live’s fourth annual “Alejandro Escovedo Musical Experience” concert ($25-$35). The name for the show is new, but it extends a tradition that started in January 2013 when Escovedo presented a career retrospective at the venue. It continued in January 2014 with his “United Sounds of Austin” show, followed by this year’s collaboration with the Church on Monday jazz ensemble. The theme of the 2016 show hasn’t yet been announced. Escovedo recently temporarily relocated to Dallas, where his wife is working on a film project until early next year.
