Fun Fun Fun Festival founder Graham Williams, describes the first day of FFF 2014 as "the worst day of his life." As the fest’s ticketing system broke down on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, fans waited for hours to pick up passes at will call in an epic line that stretched from the fest’s gate on Auditorium Shores all the way back across Ladybird Lake to City Hall. Making sure that never happens again has been a top priority for fest organizers and Williams says his staff has spent the last 11 months coming up with a "plan b, plan c and plan d" to handle any sort of ticketing problems.
In addition to mailing more passes, the fest has set up the "Funderdome" a ticket pick up pop up shop located at 908 E. Fifth St. near Wright Brother’s Brew & Brew, who will provide sips for the space. In addition, the shop will provide FFF Fest-style programming nightly including a twerk work out, a Dungeons & Dragons tournament, improv shows and more. The Funderdome opens on Monday and will open nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. through the end of the month. On November 1, the week of the festival, the Funderdome will add hours opening daily from noon to 10 p.m.
All FFF passes will be available for purchase at the Funderdome.
