Circuit of the Americas Fan Fest. The free downtown block party scheduled to coincide with the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix has a different vibe this year, with a free outdoor stage in the Rainey Street Districts plus a handful of clubs presenting ticketed shows as official Fan Fest venues. Friday’s lineup on the free stage features eclectic Southern California ensemble Ozomatli (8:30 p.m.) plus Mayer Hawthorne (10:30 p.m.) and Money Chicha (7 p.m.). Other highlights include throwback shows with Soul Asylum and the Meat Puppets at the Belmont and Gang of Four at the Parish with New Regime; Louisiana bands the Iguanas and Feufollet at South Congress clubs the Continental and C-Boy’s, respectively; and local indie singer-songwriters Dana Falconberry, Matt the Electrician and Little Brave indoors at the Mohawk.
