The “Living Springs” documentary project chronicling all facets of Austin’s favorite watering hole returns to Barton Springs Friday.

“Living Springs,” a documentary project about the history, science, culture and spiritual practices of Barton Springs and its visitors, will host two free screenings featuring short videos from the ongoing series on Friday and Aug. 29.

The Friday screening, which will take place near the big tree at the south entrance at Robert E. Lee Road, will play “Cleaning Day” and “Barton’s Four Springs.” Bring a chair or blanket to sit on — and a swimsuit for afterward, when you can take a dip in the Springs and partake in the very Austin tradition of howling at the full moon.

Details: 8:30 p.m. Friday. Free. 2201 Barton Springs Road.
