Boat noodles with pork, bean sprouts and water spinach in spiced pork broth will be on the menu for the Thai-Kun pop-up at East Side King this week.

Chef Chai Changthong will soon go from trailer to brick-and-mortar restaurant. The Qui veteran and mastermind behind the fiery Thai food at East Side King will preview his restaurant at the Domain’s Rock Rose with pop-up dinners at Qui this week.

There will be 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. seatings Tuesday-Thursday this week at the restaurant at 1600 E. Sixth St. Tickets for the dinner, which includes fermented issan sausage (with cabbage, ginger and Thai chili), grilled pork satay (with peanut sauce and ajaat salad), boat noodles (with pork, bean sprouts, water spinach, in spiced pork broth) and coconut rice pudding (with dried fish and crispy shallots) cost $70 and can be purchased online at
