In advance of a new solo album due out next month, Eagles singer-songwriter/drummer Don Henley will tape an episode of “Austin City Limits” on Sept. 1 at ACL Live.

“Cass County,” due Sept. 25 on Capitol Records, is a country record that focuses on Henley’s east Texas upbringing. The album features vocal cameos from Mick Jagger, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride. It includes original songs as well as covers of the Louvin Brothers’ “When I Stop Dreaming” and Tift Merritt’s “Bramble Rose.”

Ticket-lottery details will be posted on the show’s website and to its social media accounts about a week before the taping.

Henley will tour behind the album in October and November. Though there’s no local date (the closest show is Oct. 15 at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie near Dallas), Austin singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin will open all of the shows.
