Neosoul superstar D’Angelo has cancelled an ‘Austin City Limits’ taping scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 7, the day before he’s scheduled to headline Fun Fun Fun Festival. The lauded TV show offered no explanation for the cancellation when they announced it over social media this afternoon.

We regret to inform our fans that the 11/7 taping with D'Angelo and The Vanguard has been cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

Representatives from Fun Fun Fun Fest say D’Angelo is still slated to headline the festival on Sunday, November 8.  This is not the first time D’Angelo has cancelled a prominent Austin gig. He cancelled an Austin City Limits Festival appearance less than a month before the festival in 2013. He was, however, in town for an intimate Samsung-sponsored party during South by Southwest earlier this year.
