Circuit of the Americas Fan Fest, the free downtown block party that accompanies this weekend’s Formula One Grand Prix will go on “rain or shine” representatives for the event said on Friday afternoon. The event centerpiece is a free stage in the Rainey Street district scheduled to host a concert by Mayer Hawthorne and Ozomatli today (Friday) and Public Enemy and A-Trak on Saturday.

Tonight’s festivities are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. with a performance from local psychedelic cumbia act Money Chicha. Mayer Hawthorne is scheduled to play at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Holiday Mountain starts the night at 7 with rap legends Public Enemy playing at 10:30 p.m.
