Austin Animal Center has a new, unofficial soap opera. The series (which runs on Twitter account @LooptheSoap) started Sept. 7, and is currently on its sixth “episode.”

The story begins with Emmitt.

Emmitt looks to be a pitbull mix, with droopy jowls and an eyepatch.

Emmitt wanted true love, The Loop continued. And then he met Gilley.

But she left, and Emmitt slept poorly that night. And so ended the first episode.

Will Emmitt see Gilley again? Will he post in Missed Connections to find her? Or is this fate? Stay tuned…
