1. Kanye West speaks out on Taylor Swift controversy (again).
Kanye West is back with just a little more to say about Taylor Swift. This time the rapper commented on the main controversy between the two musicians saying he just said “what everybody else was thinking” when he first interrupted Swift’s award acceptance speech. The rapper also said “So if I get in trouble for saying the truth, what’s being said the rest of the time?” and said he acted as a true artist by “not being controlled by my finances, not being controlled by perceptions.” West made the comments during his first concert since the release of his newest album “The Life of Pablo.”
2. Video might show snowboarder chased by bear.
A viral video showing a snowboarder making her way down a slope with no apparent clue that a bear is chasing after her, may or may not prove real, but it definitely invokes the same terror either way. The video shows Kelly Murphy as tapes herself snowboarding down a hill in Japan without so much as realizing that there is a bear running after her, WDBO Orlando reports. The bear eventually gives up and Murphy reaches the bottom of the hill unharmed. Murphy claims to have not hear the bear because she was wearing headphones and to have only realized what happened when watching the video later. Many have speculated on social media whether or not the video is authentic.
3. What did Sixth Street look like in the 1980s?
Found footage from 1984 shows a side a Sixth Street you’re probably already pretty familiar with. The video posted on the Youtube account of an upcoming documentary that aims to explore “how public access TV helped shape the culture of Austin, one of America’s weirdest cities,” shows flashes of all the typical Sixth Street sights: friends laughing, sparkly dresses, and strange street vendors. The documentary, “When We Were Live,” earned $17,000 from 209 backers on Kickstarter.
4. New “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” trailer released.
Harry Potter fans still mourning the last movie release, rejoice. The second trailer for the newest movie to depict the wizarding world, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” debuted during Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards and it promises to put a whole new spin on the classic seven-part series, Forbes reports. The movie is set to premiere in November, is set in the early 1900s and features a host of new characters and, of course, beasts.
