1. Adele bans Donald Trump from playing her music during campaign.
Donald Trump has angered the wrong British songstress, and for it he’s rolling in the deep. Adele has reportedly forbid the GOP frontrunner from using her music on his campaign trail, which he has been known to do. It might not be quite as personal as it first seems, however. An official statement issued by the singer’s spokesperson read “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.” Trump’s campaign playlist includes Adele’s “Skyfall.” We’re not sure she’d be quite as unwilling to lend her music if it hadn’t been this particular candidate…
2. Austin posts more #sunset pictures on Instagram than any other Texas city.
Where’s your favorite spot to watch the sunset? According to an analysis of some 2.5 million Instagram pictures, Austin posts more pictures tagged #sunset (with 1,321) than any other Texas city. So whether watched from Mount Bonnell, Zilker or the Austin 360 Bridge overlook, Hill Country sunsets have proven themselves hashtag-worthy. The city was also the only from Texas, at No. 17, to rank among the most picture-worthy sunsets in the U.S.
3. Blac Chyna’s arrest affidavit released.
What lead to the arrest of model Blac Chyna at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport this past weekend? Her arrest affidavit sheds some light on the situation. Police say Chyna became verbally aggressive with airline employees while trying to board a plane to London. She then returned to the airport bar to drink more where she “discussed taking Xanax” with the bartender. After being apprehended by an officer, Chyna wasn’t easy to detain. She was “dragging her weight and refusing to walk” and demanded officers tie her shoes before being led to the patrol car. A search of her purse found “two small white pills with gold glittered flecks in a sunglasses case.”
4. Mostly everyone loves “Grease: Live.”
The verdict is in — “Grease: Live” is almost as electrifying as the original. Critics across the board had praise to spare for Fox’s live production of “Grease,” which despite rain and a few audio glitches and technical difficulties (which were addressed tongue-in-cheek mid-performance), went smoothly. Most notable, was a stunning performance by Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, which she managed to execute despite her father losing his battle to cancer the night prior the show.
