The Belmont has proclaimed 2014 as their “best year ever,” and they want to celebrate their success with their loyal customers. So Wednesday, they will host the Sacrilegious Thanksgiving Eve Throwdown, a free concert and party headlined by Seattle cowpunk band Supersuckers.
Like bass player and lead vocalist Eddie Spaghetti’s name, this band is one of a kind. The self-proclaimed “Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band In The World” has been releasing albums and playing shows since its formation in 1988. The southern rockers have recorded with artists like Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, and Eddie Veder of Pearl Jam and toured with bands like Motorhead and The Ramones.
An Austin360 music pick of the week, Peter Blackstock and Deborah Sengupta Stith say you’ll like the Supersuckers “if you like your country music fried, shredded and destroyed by rock ’n’ roll.”
The show will also feature a performance by local rock band Burning Avalanche.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
You can find the A-List at this show, so give our cameras a big smile and you’ll see your picture on our website the next day!
