7-9 p.m.: Evolution of a Criminal. From the PBS series Independent Lens comes a blend of documentary and personal essay that tells the story of a filmmaker who contemplates the circumstances that led him to commit a bank robbery in his youth. See it at the Austin Public Library.
6-8 p.m.: Wine Down Wednesday. Four different stations located around the Arboretum each feature a unique wine and snack pairing. Explore the shopping center and enjoy the free refreshments while listening to some live music from local bands.
7-9 p.m. Stargazing. Take the elevator to the 17th floor and follow signs to the telescope on the rooftop of Robert Lee Moore Hall to see the stars our state is famous for. The event is sponsored by the University of Texas astronomy department.
10-11 p.m. The Free Fringe. This adult improvisational comedy show is dramatically different each week. Expect the unexpected at The Hideout Theater.
7-9 p.m.: Lennings for Free Music Fridays. Hill’s Cafe brings back Head For The Hills, their live, local music series, for the month of November. Lennings’ indie folk music has recently been featured on MTV and NBC.
5-8 p.m.: Hook. We are never finished paying our respects to the late, great Robin Williams. Food from Gusto’s food tent and free popcorn will be provided before the film begins at 6 p.m. Children are welcome to dress up, especially as pirates, fairies, or Peter himself.
