The Food Lab at UT announced today that its first Challenge Prize, an early-stage business startup competition, has drawn more than 120 registrants from across the country competing for $30,000 in funding.

The applications came from innovators and entrepreneurs in Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Georgia and California, who submitted them in one of four categories: Healthy Eating, which had the most entries, Inputs and Production, Processing, Packaging and Safety; and Storage and Distribution.
