The White Party. Copa Bar & Grill is adding monthly special events, starting with a White Party at 10 p.m. Friday. Guests are encouraged to dress in white. Cover is $5 at the door, and there will be music and more. The Copa is 217 S. Congress Ave. Call 512-479-5002 for more information.

Tour de Hives. The beehives of 11 amateur and professional beekeepers around Austin, Dripping Springs and Georgetown will be showcased Saturday. The tour kicks off at creator and beekeeper Tanya Phillips’ own home, where throughout the day activities such as honey and mead tasting, an introduction to beekeeping class and raffles of beekeeping equipment will take place. All proceeds from Tour de Hives go toward Phillips’ Bee Friendly Foundation that she started with her husband, Chuck Reburn, to raise public and scientific awareness about the honeybee. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. $5. Shows coming up

• A second show featuring Lyle Lovett and his acoustic group has been added to the ACL Live calendar. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for the Sept. 10 show. Details at acl-live.com.

• Janelle Monáe will play Nov. 12 at ACL Live in support of her new album, "Electric Lady," which is out Sept. 10. Earlier this week, Monáe released details on the album, a followup to 2010’s "ArchAndroid." Erykah Badu, Miguel, Prince, Solange, Big Boi, Cee-Lo and Esperanza Spalding make appearances. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 through acl-live.com.

Tickets also go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 for Barenaked Ladies at ACL Live. They’re playing Oct. 24 with Whitehorse.

• Tickets went on sale Thursday for "So Long Summer," three days of shows over Labor Day weekend at the Long Center. Union Pacific and the Gourds will play Aug. 30, T Bird and the Breaks and the Relatives play Aug. 31, and Mexican Elvis impersonator El Vez closes out the weekend on Sept. 1. The shows, $20 each, are in Dell Hall, and audience members will be allowed on stage. Tickets and more at thelongcenter.org.
