Willem Dafoe stars as a mercenary who's hired by a mysterious biotech company to kill the last tiger in Tasmania in "The Hunter," one of the films that will screen at South by Southwest. And the film conference recently announced that Dafoe will also participate in a Q&A at 12:30 p.m. March 12 with Eugene Hernandez of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
Dafoe is expected to discuss his career, which has included work with some of the world's most iconic directors, including David Lynch, Lars von Trier and Werner Herzog.
"The Hunter" screens at 2 p.m. March 11 at the Paramount, followed by a 7:30 p.m. screening March 12 at the Alamo Village and a 9:30 p.m. screening March 16 at the Alamo South. The March 12 conversation will be held in Room 16AB of the Austin Convention Center.
The SXSW Film Conference and Festival starts March 9 and continues through the 17th.
