Gold’s Gym ending 24-hour operations at 4 Austin-area locations

Better squeeze in those late-night workouts while you can.

Four Central Texas Gold’s Gym locations that are currently open 24 hours will scale back their operating hours starting next month, the chain confirmed Thursday.

The affected gyms are:

  • 9101 Research Blvd., Austin
  • 4404 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin
  • 235 Canyon Ridge Drive, Austin
  • 2400 S. Interstate 35, Round Rock

Beginning Feb. 1, new hours at these four locations will be 4 a.m. to midnight weekdays and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends.

“Based on a careful review of gym usage, we are introducing new hours of operation,” Gold’s Gym said in a written statement provided to the American-Statesman. “As a full-service gym catering to a variety of lifestyles and fitness levels, we believe the new hours will help us focus on elevating our overall service and continuing to deliver the best fitness experience in the industry to our members.”
