Labor Day events
End of Summer Party at the Brewtorium. Don’t let summer pass you by without bidding it a proper adieu. The Brewtorium is hosting a celebration the day before Labor Day with brats and other meats on the outdoor grill, housemade ice cream specials and lots of fruited beer that the brewers have put through the randall. Plus, there will be live music by swing band Albanie & Her Fellas, beats by DJ Phauxkis and kid-friendly activities. 12 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Free. 6015 Dillard Circle, Suite A. facebook.com/events/265406544094896/.
Bey-bor Day at St. Elmo Brewing. In honor of Beyonce’s birthday the day after Labor Day, St. Elmo is once again releasing the beer Bey, a honey ale brewed by the ladies of the South Austin brewery using locally sourced honey. Ten percent of the day’s sales will go toward the Girls Empowerment Network, a local nonprofit that promotes self-esteem and skills in young girls. What better way to spend your extra day off than by drinking cold beer for a cause? 12 to 8 p.m. Monday. Free. 440 E. St. Elmo Road. stelmobrewing.com/new-events/.
"Clue" Movie Party. At one point or another, we’ve all killed Mr. Boddy. The Alamo Drafthouse is once again celebrating the hilarious film adaptation of the board game "Clue" with a movie party. You’ll scream along with Mrs. Peacock, feel flames on the side of your face with Mrs. White and deliver perfect quips with Wadsworth, the one and only Tim Curry. Though the Alamo won’t be handing out ropes or lead pipes, you will be getting props to intensify your evening at Mr. Boddy’s spooky manor. 6 p.m. Monday. $12. The Alamo Ritz, 320 E. Sixth St. drafthouse.com.
