"Black Rainbow" at Dimension Gallery. New sculptural works by multimedia artist Terra Goolsby, who takes inspiration from mythology, mysticism, science fiction, religious lore and psychology, deconstruct perceptions of idolatry. Sip & Shuck at Fairmont Austin. Oysters and bubbly might be the best possible way to unwind after a long week. Every third Thursday, Fulton Bar, in the lobby of Austin’s largest operating hotel, will feature oyster pairings and drink specials. This month will feature Champagne Perrier-Jouët and specialty Treaty Oak Distilling cocktails, including Holly Street with Waterloo Yaupon Gin, junmai sake, orange pekoe tea, dry vermouth, orange bitters and saline. Movies in the Park. The Austin Park Foundation’s film series bringing beloved movies to neighborhood parks across town continues with a screening of "10 Things I Hate About You." The 1999 movie stars Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles as two high school seniors in a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s "The Taming of the Shrew."
