But I’ll grant you, it is particularly hot right now. Austin is under an excessive heat warning today with an expected high of 107 degrees, after an already scorching weekend.
But even though it might feel like we’re in the hottest place on earth right now, there are a few spots that have us beat.
Also known as Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport. Flying through Saudi Arabia? It could reach 113 degrees there today.
Hermosillo is the capital of Sonora. And, it’s hot there today.
But it’s a dry heat, right?
Ouargla is in the Sahara Desert in Algeria. Perhaps that’s where some of our recent dust cloud came from.
