There’s a snake in my... chimney?

That’s what one East Texas man found after hearing a loud thud right after 2:30 a.m. on July 7, according to the East Texas Matters website.

David Antley found the snake in his chimney and calmly grabbed some tongs while his daughter got a camera to catch the action, he told East Texas Matters.

Antley captured the nonvenomous Texas rat snake, also known as a chicken snake, then released it a few miles away from his home.

The video on Antley’s personal Facebook account shows how he maneuvered his way with the slippery snake and he even let out a few shrieks, rightfully so.
