At Central: A Culinary Journey with Chef Alon Shaya. Two-time James Beard Award-winning chef Alon Shaya is visiting Austin to share stories of culinary heritage from his new cookbook and memoir "Shaya." At the Central Library, he will read from the book, speak with food writer Adam Boles, take questions from the audience and autograph books. Copies of "Shaya" will be available for sale thanks to BookPeople. "Outside the Indoors" at Davis Gallery. This solo show celebrates Sandra Langston’s versatile paintings, drawings and sculpture. Langston has never been tied to particular subject matter, style or even residence. She has split her time between Austin and southern Italy, and her artwork has been split between landscapes and expressive narratives. Her landscapes feature sprawling Texas fields as well as the rolling hills and mountains of Basilicata, Italy.
