Active members of the U.S. military nationwide now have free access to the Longhorn Network.

Beginning today, the network will be available at no cost on computers, smartphones and tablets to anyone connecting to LHN’s website or its mobile app via a .mil domain.

The LHN app is available for free in the Apple App Store.

The announcement comes just days before this weekend’s Kansas at Texas football matchup, which will air exclusively on LHN.

Also, to commemorate Veterans Day, the network plans to air several days of special programs beginning Nov. 11.

The programming will wrap up Nov. 16 with a live satellite appearance by Fort Hood soldiers stationed in Afghanistan during the network’s "Texas GameDay" pregame show.
