The Austin Film Festival’s 11th annual Summer Film Camp kicks off Monday and runs through August 2. The camp, which is for aspiring filmmakers ages 9-18, feature four and 11-day programs that include sessions on claymation; comedy, horror and action short films; and a general filmmaking 101 class.
Workshops are led by industry professionals and take place at St. Austin Catholic School, located (1911 San Antonio St.). Past speakers include screenwriter Anne Rapp (" Dr. T and the Women") writer-director Jeff Nichols ("Mud"), and writer-director Tom Holland ("Child’s Play"). Topics are based on the distinct expertise and experiences of each guest.
