FrankenBike, that funky bicycle-oriented swap meet on steroids (with a little beer poured over it), hits a major milestone this month when it celebrates its 100th event.
Yep, the centennial edition of FrankenBike is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 30 at Dog and Duck, 407 W. 17th Street.
Expect music by Merge 98FM, along with the usual buying, selling and trading of bikes, bike parts and bike accessories.
Long-time sponsor Independence Brewing Company will provide free beer (bring your ID) and Dog and Duck will be be open, selling beer and pub grub. And one lucky person will win a brand new TERN Link P-9 bike.
Chris Gross started FrankenBike in June 2005. Today Gross teams up with Michelle Moore to put on the monthly event. For more information go to www.FrankenBike.net.
