Do you care about biking in Austin? A lot?

The Austin Bicycle Advisory Council, which advises the city of Austin and other jurisdictions on all matters relating to the use of bicycles, is looking for new members.

The group meets at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at City Hall.

Five voting members and seven alternate members will be chosen in November. To apply for the vacant seats, fill out the application at http://www.austintexas.gov/BACapplication before 5 p.m. Nov. 1. Applicants should attend the group’s Nov. 19 meeting to introduce themselves.

Full disclosure: My husband Chris has served on this board for several years.
