Glenn and Paula Foore of Springdale Farm have been having fun with their bumper crop of tomatoes this summer.

The first round of tomatoes is winding down (the late summer harvest will start in August), but for the past six week, the farmers have been creating thesebeautifuldisplays for their Wednesday and Saturday farmstands on Springdale Road. The tomato art caught my eye on Instagram, and I asked Statesman videographer Reshma Kirpalani if she might be interested in bringing this story to life.

Last week, she interviewed Paula Foore at the farm as Foore worked on that week’s elaborate display and found out that the artwork isn’t just asthetically pleasing, it’s functional, too.
