The new Chinatown Westlake (2712 Bee Cave Rd.) has hired Jorge Garcia, formerly of Japanese restaurant Morimoto Waikiki in Honolulu, to serve as the restaurant’s executive sushi chef. In conjunction with his hire, the restaurant has introduced a happy hour that runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Drink specials include imported draft beer ($3), house wines ($5), house highballs ($5); and food specials include free wonton chips, chicken wings ($3), Vietnamese Spring Rolls ($3), spicy tuna roll ($5), California roll ($5), fried calamari ($7), pan-fried pork dumplings ($7), and Szechuan Shrimp chive wontons ($7).
