New to this year’s iHeartCountry Festival, which comes to town April 30 for its third year at the Erwin Center, will be a “Daytime Village” show featuring free performances by comparatively lesser-known acts as a precursor to the star-studded evening lineup.
Radio personality Bobby Bones will perform with his country parody band the Raging Idiots, along with Granger Smith, LoCash, Chris Lane and Maren Morris. No tickets are required for the afternoon event, which runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Erwin Center’s north box office plaza.
Bones also is the M.C. for the big show inside, which begins at 7 p.m., and features abbreviated sets by Florida Georgia Line, Brett Eldredge, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Miranda Lambert, Lee Brice, Chris Young, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band. A press release notes that other performers are still to be announced. Tickets run $25-$375 via texasboxoffice.com.
The iHeartCountry Festival made its debut in Austin in 2014 and returned again in 2015.
