Overnight rains that remained steady into the morning delayed the start time at Fun Fun Fun Fest by a little over an hour Saturday. Festival reps say they spent that time working with the city Parks Department to prepare the site. To ease the inconvenience of festgoers who showed up early, festival staff walked the line handing out water and snacks. They also pre-scanned and bag-checked everyone so when the gates opened they were able to rapidly walk in.

DJ Gesaffelstein, who was scheduled to play at 5 p.m. on the Blue stage, missed his flight this morning and festival staff were able to shift time slots to keep the rest of the lineup on that stage intact. Local bands A Giant Dog and American Sharks, who were scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m. on the Orange and Black stages respectively, were canceled. Both bands will play their previously scheduled Nites shows Sunday, with A Giant Dog playing 611 E. 7th St. (Formerly Red 7) at 11:30 p.m. and American Sharks playing the Mohawk inside at 11 p.m. Gesaffelstein will headline Vulcan Gas Company tonight.

By 1:30 p.m., rain had slowed to an intermittent sprinkle and ground conditions at Auditorium Shores were wet but with very few muddy areas.
