Mark Sayre is leaving his post as beverage director at the Four Seasons to join the Elm Restaurant Group, the team behind Arro, 24 Diner, Easy Tiger Bake Shop & Beer Garden, and the forthcoming Italic and Irene’s.

Sayre will serve as the group’s service director, following his eight-year stint at the Four Seasons, where he earned the reputation as one of the city’s best wine professionals. The Houston native and Advance Sommelier won the title “Texas’ Best Sommelier” in 2007 and was named one of the country’s “Top New Sommeliers” in 2010 from Wine & Spirits magazine.

Sayre begins his tenure with Elm on January 27 as the general manager at Arro, the French bistro that announced today it will begin a Sunday champagne brunch sometime in February.
