The Country Music Association is aligning its CMA Songwriters Series with South by Southwest this year, bringing acclaimed singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves to town along with Shane MacAnally and Josh Osborne for a March 19 showcase at the Paramount Theatre.

Musgraves 2013 major-label debut “Same Trailer Different Park” won a Grammy for Best Country Album. She followed it last year with “Pageant Material,” which led to her teaming with Willie Nelson for a video and later opening Nelson’s New Year’s Eve shows at ACL Live.

McAnally, a longtime Nashville songwriter and producer, helmed both of Musgraves’ albums and co-wrote her breakthrough single “Follow Your Arrow.” Osborne also has co-written with Musgraves and McAnally, as well as co-writing hits for Sam Hunt, Jake Owen, Sara Evans and many others.

The show is open to those with SXSW Music and Platinum badges, and to Showcasing Artist wristband-holders. A limited number of tickets will go on sale March 10 via the Paramount box office.
