Tender hot (but not painfully so) chicken served with funky New York sour pickles is one of the brunch standouts at Chicon.

Say what you want about brunch, but I donít understand why more places donít offer it on both Saturday and Sunday. Whatís the difference? Anywho, Chicon may have been thinking the same thing because the restaurant from the Contigo owners is adding Saturday brunch this weekend. I am not a brunch fanatic, but this is one of my favorites in town. It includes their excellent burger, fried chicken, smoked trout taco, the best banana bread Iíve had in Austin and more. Saturday brunch, as with Sunday brunch, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
