Who do you trust when it comes to naming the best tacos in America ? The Food Network? Food and Wine magazine? Fox News?

The good people who use Foursquare?

If it’s the latter, we have good news for you: Austin is home to the greatest taco joint in America.

(As you may have guessed, that intro was a ploy to point out how nationally renowned Austin’s tacos are; Austin taco joints also top the greatest tacos in America lists from all the other aforementioned entities).

According to Foursquare’s rankings, which is based off of how much people love (read: save and favorite) taco joints on the city guide and places database website, four of America’s 50 greatest tacos are in Austin.

The biggest winners on this list are Tacodeli and Torchy’s Tacos, which respectively nabbed the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.

Chi’lantro, known for its Korean take on the taco, and Juan in A Million, known for its Texas-sized breakfast tacos, also slid into the list at No. 44 and No. 49.

With four taco joints represented, Austin is tied with New York for the most number of restaurants on the list.
