Alabama Shakes play the first weekend of ACL Fest 2015. Ricardo B. Brazziell/American-Statesman

Apparently, the Strokes and Alabama Shakes are a greater draw than Florence + the Machine and Modest Mouse: The Austin City Limits Music Festival has sold out of three-day passes for its first weekend, which features the former pair as exclusive to the Oct. 2-4 opening stretch.

Tickets for Oct. 9-11, which is the only weekend to catch the latter pair, are still available. Most acts at the top of the ACL Fest bill are performing both weekends, including the Foo Fighters, Drake, Hozier, the Weeknd, Deadmau5, Alt-J, Of Monsters and Men, Tame Impala, Sturgill Simpson, the Decemberists, Billy Idol and Gary Clark Jr.

Other performers exclusive to the second weekend include Wolf Alice, Avers and Mandolin Orange, along with many local acts including Kaleo, Tameca Jones and Riders Against the Storm.

Three-day passes for Oct. 9-11 are $250 via the ACL Fest website. Single-day passes for both weekends will go on sale for $100 at a date this summer that hasn’t been announced yet. First-weekend passes are still available as part of inclusive travel and VIP premium packages.
