Yvonne Ferris, 80

I’ve always been a fairly active person. My husband and I love to travel, and some of our trips take some endurance. As I age, I realize even more the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle. At 80 I’m even more convinced of the importance of a regular workout routine than when I was younger. I’m fortunate to live at a community that has a wonderful fitness center. From the treadmill to free weights, I try to do it all. When the weather is nice, my husband and I love to utilize the walking trail. It’s quite beautiful and provides just the right challenge. I’m a Masterpiece Living Ambassador at Querencia at Barton Creek and I help promote the community culture of successful aging. I participate in our fall prevention classes, Pilates and Zumba and did last year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s event.
