You arrive. You unpack. You unfold yourself at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Oh, but that's not all there is to Austin. So we offer a list of alphabetical associations for the city's essential sites, from the airport to Zilker Park, with some alternative attractions thrown in for pure pleasure. Where are these wonders? Turn to the nearest Austinite. They'll tell you all you need to know — and then some. If they can't tell you, that's right, they're not from Austin.

A to Z - Q

Q is for Quality Seafood. Jonesing for the real thing? Taste the sea at this fully stocked shop.

A to Z - R

R is for Run-Tex. Just one reason why Austin is among the fittest cities in the country.

Also for the Ransom Center, Red River District, Royal-Memorial Stadium and Ruta Maya.

A to Z - S

S is for Sixth Street Entertainment District.

Also for Sam's Barbecue, Sandy's, Shady Grove, Sheffield Hillside Theater, Shoal Creek Saloon, Scholtz Garten, State Capitol, State Theater, Stubb's and SoCo District.

A to Z - T

T is for Town Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail. Sometimes called Austin's town square. Everybody meets there.

A to Z - U

U is for University of Texas. 50,000-plus students. Still the biggest cultural Bigfoot in town.

V is for Vulcan Video. Two Central Austin locations. All the movies you could ever watch.

Y is for Yard Dog Folk Art. A gallery that handles what you can't find anywhere else.

Z is for Zilker Park. Our Central Park slips its fingers through the rest of Austin with an endless network of hike-and-bike trails.
