ACL Festival Web Logs
Welcome to the ACL Festival blogs
You've stumbled upon an interesting and exciting experiment in American journalism.
These Web logs -- "blogs" for short -- are not the writings of our staff music critics. They are the commentaries and experiences of ordinary Austinites -- working parents, urban singles, students, etc. -- who we invited to write about this year's Austin City Limits Festival.
Some refer to this kind of coverage as "citizen journalism." Call it what you will; in any case, it represents a first for us: We are prominently featuring your neighbors' thoughts alongside our coverage.
If all goes well, we will likely expand these blogs into other areas of Austin360 and Statesman.com.
Warning: As perhaps you gather, this area is still somewhat under construction. We're working to smooth out a few technical glitches.
In the meantime, please feel free to start your own blog. You can share the URL with your friends. However, if you want us to consider posting it with these, please remember to "tag" your entries "ACLFest."
Sincerely,
Tim Lott
