Elves, fairies, wizards and more. This weekend, take a break from reality to grace the antiquated streets of the Texas Renaissance Festival as one of these mystical characters at the special themed event "1001 Dreams." Whatever your wish may be, the festival invites guests to dress up and "live the fantasy."
Besides the themed event, the 56-acre re-created 16th-century British village is also offering a variety of its famed and time-honored activities and attractions. Visitors can try their luck at games such as "Catapulting Frogs" and "Off With Your Head," peruse the 340 shops filled with arts and crafts, catch one the 200 performances held daily or take a ride on one of the human-powered rides.
After a long day, don't forget to check out the Royal Fireworks held at dusk above the festival's lake.
