Grande Communications has struck a last-minute deal to carry the SEC Network, which is set to launch tonight.

The San Marcos-based company joins Time Warner Cable, AT&T, DirecTV and Dish Network in carrying the new channel.

The SEC Network is set to sign on at 5 p.m. today. Its exclusive programming this fall will include the Aug. 28 Texas A&M-South Carolina football game.

“We are dedicated to providing our customers with an extensive lineup of sports coverage and are very pleased to include the SEC Network in our programming,” Grande president Matt Murphy said. “This deal will allow sports fans and followers to enjoy more games and original content featuring Southeastern Conference teams. We’ve seen a high demand throughout Texas for the SEC Network, and we are proud to offer our customers access to the channel.”

Grande customers can find the SEC Network on channel 77 and in high definition on channel 877.
